About ADV

In the spring of 2006, Allongé Dance Variations (ADV) debuted in Hartford, CT with the intention of fusing contemporary dance with classical ballet and Spanish dance. Since then, the Company has lead dozens of classes & been featured at numerous cultural events.
Performance Highlights Include: Asylum Hill Congregational Church's Boar's Head & Yule Log Festival with guitarist Lorena Garay, NBC 30 Health & Wellness Festival, Latino de Oro Awards Ceremony, Ellen J. Goldfarb Language Arts Festival, Middletown Dances!, Bosc Kitchen & Wine Bar with guitarist Dave Giardina, and a WNPR/Faith Middleton fundraiser at Ibiza with guitarist Val Ramos.

Also in 2006, ADV began an ongoing collaboration with Blackledgemusic,Inc., a Chamber Music Consortium. Together, the two groups have embraced a union that blends puro & nuevo Spanish styles & contemporary ballet fusion with the talents of superb musicians, such as guitarist Daniel Hartington, Richard Provost and Judith Handler, creating exciting and unique works for a richer audience experience.
Performances Together Include: the Hartford Latino Expo, Ted Hershey Dance & Music Marathon, CT Dance Alliance's Out For Art! Showcase featuring guitarist Daniel Hartington, The Goff House, New England Carousel Museum and the New Britain Museum of American Art, where a site-specific work was premiered in 2007.
